Why does it have slight colour or scent variations?
The reason for slightly different colour and scent variations in each batch of our dog shampoo is because it is a 100% natural product, with natural oils. Nature has variety, synthetics do not. We buy many different batches of oil over many seasons, and each batch is different in colour and scent because of many reasons (colder weather, dryer seasons, wetter seasons, differences in sunlight, slight differences in soil variation, time of harvest, etc). If you buy products with oils that never smell and look different (even slightly) they might have a synthetic oil. To help understand this think of when you go to a winery and taste the same type of wine, but try different generations. You expect it to taste different and smell different. This is exactly what happens when we are getting our oils as well. These slight variations can happen with any essential oil. I hope this helps to explain this issue and to give you confidence that the product is of the same high quality, no matter the colour of the liquid.
Is it no tear?
We have tried our best to create a no-tear formulation by using sodium cocoamphoacetate. A natural based surfactant that is a very mild foaming agent which causes much less irritation. It is a much similar PH to a dogs natural eye PH level which causes a lot less less stinging and tearing.
